Universiade Park

For eleven days the Universiade Park in Lucerne inner city will be the centre of the Winter Universiade. Much will be on offer – from ceremonies and the public viewing screen to fine food.

The Europaplatz in front of the Lucerne Cultural and Conference Centre (KKL) will become the centre of the Winter Universiade 2021: the Universiade Park will be created here, in a unique setting with views of the lake, city and mountains. For eleven days it will be the meeting point for athletes, officials, volunteers and the general public.

The Universiade Park is located in the immediate vicinity of the railway station, Lucerne University and Lucerne Teacher Training University. The opening, closing and daily medals ceremonies will take place here. Spectators can follow the action at the various venues live in the public viewing area.

In addition to the ceremonies, the Universiade Park stage will also be used to hold concerts and to present aspects of cultural life in Central Switzerland.

Sustenance for visitors will not be forgotten: there will be a wide range of typical food and drinks available at various food stands.
